Ingredients Required:
Pumpkin (Red Disco Pumpkin or any low carb varierty) or Jicima or Cauliflower or Zucchini
Spices & Herbs:
* 1 tsp Black pepper or Piri Piri pepper (it’s a type of african chilli)
* 2 tsp Oregano Powder
* 2 tsp Garlic Powder
* 1 tsp Onion powder
* 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
* 1/4 tsp Cinnamon powder
* 2 tsp Chilli powder ( If you can get paprika – best)
* 2 tsp Chili Flakes or Paprika powder
* A pinch of lime zest or citric acid (optional)
* 1/4 tsp Ginger powder
* Salt + Sweetener (optional) Pumpkin is a bit sweet to begin with.
* Coconut Oil or ghee for deep frying.
Recipe:
1) Cut pumpkin or veggies into the shape you desire and salt them generously.
2) Get the spice blend as per proportion and blitz them in a blender until they are finely powdered. If you don’t have any particular ingredient like ginger – grate some ginger, roast it and add to the mix to be powdered.
3) Deep Fry pumpkin till golden brown. Add spices and mix.
